Hanninal ironically ended on a cliffhanger by having its two central characters - Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) - go tumbling over a cliff edge. NBC subsequently cancelled the show due to low ratings, leaving fans to speculate on their fates ever since. Now in fairness, the final episode's post-credits scene - in which Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) sits at a table beside her own cooked leg, with two additional places set for dinner - did at least hint that the duo survived, though certainly didn't confirm it. While Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller initially played coy about confirming Hannibal and Will's fates, in later years once it became clear that the show wouldn't be picked up for a fourth season, he finally relented. In a reply to a since-deleted 2019 tweet asking about the cliffhanger, Fuller confirmed that they indeed both survived, ensuring that if Hannibal is ever given an unlikely revival, we can expect to see both Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy back. Here's hoping.

I was just studying psychology and I learned about the serial killer doctor Harold Shipman who killed patients by giving them lethal injections of diamorphine (to some other sources which I read, it was lethal doses of insulin which facilitated a comma just like Eldon Stammets did). Eldon Stammets is named for Paul Stamets, the American mycologist, author and advocate of bioremediation and medicinal fungi, but it made me wonder if Eldon Stammets can be considered as a reference to Harold Shipman in some ways, as both were in a established medical career, obviously Shipman had a higher rank and authority than Stammets but I can see how this would play a part in the reference as it will show it's an inspiration not an imitation. Plus, mo one was suspecting them of any murders until evidence was found against them (Harold Shipman - forged will of a patient which was found suspicious, Eldon Stammets - bodies in forest found by 3 boys thus things escalated). They are both quite similar and further, their last names both start with the letter E. Am I onto something or is it a bit of a stretch?

With a handful of movies and TV show about Hannibal back there I think it’s time we give the other serial killer, Francis Dolarhyde a chance in the spotlight with his own TV show. The show will be made by Bruno Heller, The creator of the mentalist and the producer of Gotham. The show will follow Dolarhyde from his troubled childhood and throughout his reign of terror.
My cast for the show:
Dan Stevens as Francis Dolarhyde
Ben McKenzie as Will Graham
Lance Reddick as Jack Crawford
Simon Baker as Frederick Chilton
Lara Jean Chorostecki as Freddy Lounds
Daisy Ridley as Molly Graham
Feel free to tell me what you guys think.

By the time Hannibal premiered, fans had been steeped in the palpable mystique of Anthony Hopkins' giddy version of Hannibal Lecter. Contrasted with Madds Mikkelsen's fish-eyed monster, Hopkins' portrayal of the therapist-turned-serial-killer is the height of camp, and there's nothing wrong with that. One of the main reasons that Hopkins' version is so iconic decades after he did that weird thing with his tongue, is that there's a twinkle in his eye and a cheek to his prevarication. Those looking for the same sense of humor in the Hannibal series may find uncomfortable drabness. Luckily certain characters, like Abel Gideon, pick up the slack.
I can’t understand is there multiple tv versions of Hannibal or ? And movies?? If so are they related and should I watch in order?
On the surface, Hannibal is a showcase of very human monsters, but one pivotal subplot involving Will Graham hints at the existence of ghosts.
The real hook for the theory that Clarice's own brother is the villain is that she misidentified the man as her father when he appeared at the hospital. It could just have been the drugs in her system and her own desperation to escape at play, but Clarice was genuinely confused at the mystery villain's physical similarity to her dad. If Clarice is right that they resemble each other, the simplest explanation may very well be that it's because this is Clarice's younger brother all grown up. This would be set up by why "Ghosts of Highway 20" made such a point of Clarice having a brother in the first place. This also means that Clarice is plotting a complex, long-form story that will not only shed new light on Starling's past but also apply it to her present circumstances the same way The Silence of the Lambs did. There is so much yet to be revealed about what happened to the family Clarice left behind in West Virginia, and why she was sent to an orphanage instead of being returned to her mother after she ran away from the Montana ranch. Numerous questions would include whether Clarice ever saw the rest of her family again? If not, why not? And whatever happened to them? However, a long-lost or estranged Starling brother who is now an adult would certainly know about Clarice, especially after she became famous for killing Buffalo Bill in the prior year. If the mystery villain behind the conspiracy is Clarice's brother, then she could be facing her most personal enemy yet. And Clarice's brother may just hate his big sister for leaving him behind when he needed her most decades before the events of Clarice.
